Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov put forward a proposal to consider the policy of taxation of enterprises of the mining industry.
Speaking at a meeting of the Security Council, he indicated that in some countries the state receives up to 15% of the profits of the subsoil user, and in Kyrgyzstan it reaches 8%. In this regard, in order to protect the environment and the interests of the population, there is a need to revise taxation policies.
Speaking about the situation in the mining industry, Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use Emil Osmonbetov informed that the largest revenues to the budget from enterprises were in 2015.
He cited data from the receipt of funds from 2010 – that year they amounted to 5 billion soms.
“The greatest amount was received in 2015 – 15 billion soms. This is due to the sale of a license for the development of the Jeruy gold deposit”, the head of institution explained.
He also said that stocks of rare-earth metals, gold, lead are more than 2 thousand tons for each type.
The meeting of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic is chaired by the President of Kyrgyzstan at Ala-Archa state residence. The agenda includes measures to ensure safety in the field of subsoil use.
