Kyrgyz president receives ambassador of Belarus due to completion of his diplomatic mission

Bishkek, March 27, 2024. / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Tuesday Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan Andrei Strachko on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

The head of state expressed gratitude to the ambassador for the work done and personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, active work as dean of the diplomatic corps in the Kyrgyz Republic and constant participation in charitable events held in the country.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction that during the period of Andrei Strachko’s diplomatic mission, there was a significant intensification of the dynamics of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

The president stated that during the 7 years of his stay in the country, the ambassador of Belarus witnessed significant changes in Kyrgyzstan, political and socio-economic reforms that are directly aimed at ensuring the well-being of the people of the country.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that as part of continuing the course of change, one of the priority areas of state policy is the development of the industrial sector. In this regard, there is huge potential for joint cooperation of industrial projects, in which Belarus has extensive experience. He emphasized the need to use the existing potential of bilateral interaction.

In turn, Andrei Strachko thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for the opportunity to meet, expressing gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for their support in the successful completion of their diplomatic mission.

The ambassador emphasized with satisfaction that during his stay in Kyrgyzstan, starting in 2017, trade turnover between the countries increased almost 2.5 times, noting the high growth rate of Kyrgyz exports.

At the same time, Andrei Strachko stated that the Belarusian side is closely monitoring the changes that are taking place in Kyrgyzstan and hopes that the development path chosen by the country, which meets the interests of the people, will be continued.
