Kyrgyz president relieves head of country’s National Security Committee

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2020. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed a Decree relieving head of the country’s National Security Committee.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, Orozbek Opumbayev was dismissed from the post of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security in accordance with Article 64 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Opumbayev took the office of the National Security Committee chairman in June 2019.
