Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2021 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov returned the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in the Field of Economic Emergency" to the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) with objections, his press service said.
"In accordance the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov returned the Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of emergency situations in the economy” to the Jogorku Kenesh with objections," the message reads.
In July 2021, the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and adopted in the third reading the above-mentioned law.
The initiator of the bill is Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ulukbek Maripov.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Business Council (ABC) under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the introduction of a state of emergency in the economy contradicts the policy of the head of state and creates new corruption risks.
