Bishkek, July 31, 2023. /Kabar/. The working trip of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Jalal-Abad, Osh regions and the city of Osh, which took place from July 27 to 31, has ended, the press service of the head of state reported.
On the first day of his trip to Jalal-Abad, Sadyr Zhaparov opened a new House of Justice, which became the second one opened in the country. Several bodies of the judicial system will be located here, which significantly reduce associated costs and increase the efficiency of decision-making. Earlier in March of this year a similar House of Justice was opened in Karakol.
Then the president went to the city of Osh, where he got acquainted with the progress of the construction of four new water tanks and instructed to resolve the issue of fully providing the townspeople with clean drinking water within a month.
In addition, in Osh, he got acquainted with the progress of the capital reconstruction of the stadium named after Akhmatbek Suyumbaev, which is being carried out for the first time since its construction in 1961. It was instructed to allocate additional funding and complete the reconstruction of the stadium in the near future.
On the second day of the working trip, the president got acquainted in the Osh region with the activities of the Irkeshtam automobile checkpoint of the South-Western Customs of the Kyrgyz Republic in Alai district. Construction of a four-lane road with a total length of 3.4 kilometers is underway here, which began in May 2023 after the signing of a Memorandum between Kyrgyzstan and China. The project also includes the construction of a trestle bridge 187 meters long and the installation of a conveyor belt for transporting coal. Completion of the project will make it possible to supply coal from Kyrgyzstan to China via a conveyor belt and relieve the load at the checkpoint. Accordingly, there will be an opportunity for a significant increase in the flow of goods across the border.
In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov instructed to completely modernize the Irkeshtam checkpoint by October 1 this year, expand the territory, build additional lanes and bring the customs infrastructure of the Irkeshtam checkpoint in line in order to increase its throughput several times.
In the evening of the same day, the head of state met with professional boxer and bronze medalist of the 2023 World Boxing Championship Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, and handed him the keys to a two-room apartment in Osh. Munarbek Seyitbek uulu became the first prize-winner of the World Boxing Championship during the years of the country's independence.
Also, as part of a working trip, Sadyr Zhaparov opened a new building of the Main Directorate of the State Committee for National Security for the city of Osh and the Osh region, got acquainted with the progress of the overhaul of the Osh regional hippodrome "Toloikon", instructed to complete the construction of a new building of the Osh State Pedagogical University by the new academic year, and visited the industrial and logistics park "EuroAsia GROUP" under construction in the Kara-Suu region.
Having completed a working trip to Jalal-Abad, Osh regions and the city of Osh, the head of state returned to Bishkek.
