Kyrgyz president signs decree on day of national mourning for COVID-19 victims

Bishkek, July 27, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has signed Monday a Decree declaring July 30, 2020 the National Day of Mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic, his press service reported.

The Decree stipulates:

- To declare July 30, 2020 the National Day of Mourning in Kyrgyzstan in memory of citizens who became victims of the coronavirus pandemic.

- On the day of mourning, to carry out the necessary measures, including throughout Kyrgyzstan, as well as to lower the state flags of the Kyrgyz Republic in the buildings of diplomatic and consular missions abroad.

- To recommend that cultural institutions and television and radio companies of the Kyrgyz Republic cancel entertainment and programs on the Day of Mourning.

The Decree shall come into force on the day of its signing.
