Kyrgyz president signs law obliging NGOs to provide annual financial reports

Bishkek, July 8, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic" (to the Laws of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Non-Commercial Organizations", "On State Registration of Legal Entities, Branches (Representative Offices)"), the press service of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

The law obliges non-profit organizations to annually submit to the tax authority information on the sources of the formation of funds, the directions of their spending, as well as information on the acquired, used and alienated property.

The purpose of this law is to establish transparency in the activities of non-profit organizations (with the exception of state and municipal institutions) that receive monetary and material resources on a gratuitous basis.
