Kyrgyz president takes part in opening ceremony of Summit of leaders in Glasgow

Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2021 . / Kabar /. An opening ceremony of the Summit of leaders of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change took place in Glasgow on Monday.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov arrived at the SEC Scottish Exhibition Center, where he took part in the opening ceremony of the event.

Within the framework of the Summit, the Kyrgyz leader will deliver message on Tuesday, in which he will draw the attention of the evemt participants to the importance of preserving glaciers and water resources not only from climate change, but also from unscrupulous economic activities and will dwell on environmental protection issues.

The 26th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFC will be the largest summit ever held in the UK, with the participation of more than 30 thousand delegates, including 120 world leaders, experts and government officials.
