Kyrgyz President to take part in opening ceremony of monument to Aitmatov in Moscow

Saint Petersburg, Dec. 7, 2018. /Kabar/. A solemn opening ceremony of a monument to famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, which is located at the intersection of Pavlovskaya Street and Podolskoye Highway, will take place in Moscow today.

Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov flew from St. Petersburg to take part in perpetuating the memory of the famous compatriot in Russian land.

A significant event for Kyrgyzstanis and the entire literary world as a whole will be held with the participation of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Jamankulov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky and Special Representative of Russian President on International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy.

The Kyrgyz delegation went to the ceremony after the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the following composition:

- Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov;

- Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov;

- First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Kenenbayev;

- Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov;

- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov;

- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Bolot Otunbayev.

Jeenbekov took part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Saint Petersburg on Thursday.
