“In accordance with the requirements of the time and thanks to the efforts, large-scale projects have been implemented, and we have many planned events ahead.
Along with other sectors of the country, the sports sector received state support, which has already begun to yield results.
Kyrgyz football is known for its more than a century of history and today is the favorite sport of many Kyrgyzstanis.
It is important to emphasize the contribution of our athletes, who have dedicated their lives to football, and fans to the development of football.
Among them are our domestic football players who will play in today's tournament. I would like to express my gratitude to them for their dedication to this sport, their passion for football, and their outstanding work in increasing the interest of future generations in football,” the president said.
Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that as a result of the tireless work of veterans, today Kyrgyz football is widely popular in society and is successfully developing in the regions.

Our players improve their results and honor the traditions of football heritage.
And today's event - the match between the football team of veterans of Kyrgyzstan and the team of veterans of the countries of the former USSR - is an important event in the history of football. We are happy to host football veterans in our beloved capital, Bishkek.
