Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2021 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in Istanbul, Turkey, on the sidelines of the Summit of the Heads of Countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS).
Topical areas of Kyrgyz-Hungarian bilateral cooperation were discussed. They also exchanged views on the agenda of the upcoming CCTS Summit, the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates cooperation with Hungary, recalling that in 2022 it will be 30 years since the establishment of Kyrgyz-Hungarian diplomatic relations.
The head of state, expressing satisfaction with the level of development of Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, noted the great potential for cooperation in the economic sphere.
Sadyr Zhaparov invited Viktor Orban to pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan and suggested holding the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Viktor Orban noted that Hungary pays special attention to cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and expressed interest in expanding Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The Hungarian prime minister stressed that the authorized capital of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Investment Development Fund is still small, but it will be a good help for the implementation of joint projects. According to him, Hungary is ready to increase the authorized capital of the fund to support Kyrgyz and Hungarian entrepreneurs.
Viktor Orban also noted that Hungary supports the initiatives and proposals of the Kyrgyz side put forward within the UN.
During the conversation, the sides noted the existing positive results, in particular, the fruitful work of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the creation and work of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian business council.
Regarding cooperation in the educational sphere, Sadyr Zhaparov and Viktor Orban agreed that Kyrgyz students studying at universities in Hungary will become a bridge for the rapprochement of the two peoples.
The president of Kyrgyzstan and the prime minister of Hungary also agreed to continue active interaction to build up bilateral relations for the benefit of the two countries.
