Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working trips to the regions of the country, his press service reported Thursday.
Today, Sept. 10, President got acquainted with the work of Artel Electronics Kyrgyz-Uzbek joint venture in Kara-Suu region of Osh Oblast, which produces household appliances.
The company is expanding its production and plans to start exporting. The agreement on its opening was reached within the official visit of Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Uzbekistan in December 2017. The company started its activity in 2018.
The next object of the Kyrgyz leader’s program was a visit to Medimpex Company in Kara-Suu region, which produces injection and insulin syringes. It is the only domestic manufacturer of disposable medical syringes in the country.
When entering the city of Osh, Sooronbay Jeenbekov familiarized with the projects on construction of a bypass road, which will be a section of the Bishkek-Osh highway. The relevant state bodies were recommended to speed up the consideration of this project and start construction works in the nearest future.
The head of state also got acquainted with the process of digitalization of local self-government bodies on the example of Mady county, toured the capital reconstruction of the former lyceum’s building, which will be converted into an infectious disease hospital and soon it will be a modern digital medical institution.
During the visit to “Omat Argo” production and seed cooperative, Sooronbay Jeenbekov paid special attention to the issue of increasing cotton crop, noting the need to create a full production cycle, from the cultivation of raw cotton to the production of finished products.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Reclamation and local authorities were recommended to carry out purposeful work in this direction.
