Kyrgyz Prime Minister stresses activation of Kyrgyz-Uzbek bilateral relations

BISHKEK, Aug 16, 2017. / Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov stressed the activation of Kyrgyz-Uzbek bilateral relations speaking at a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in a narrow composition.

The Kyrgyz Prime Minister warmly greeted his colleague and stressed that Uzbekistan is one of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. "It is gratifying to note the intensification of bilateral relations aimed at developing and strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation. The last meeting of the intergovernmental commission was held in 2009. The joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is a good platform for resolving all bilateral issues, " Zheenbekov said.

The Prime Minister also noted the importance of opening a direct flight Tashkent-Tamchy. He said that, this will allow the citizens of Uzbekistan to reach Issyk-Kul with comfort.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who today arrived in Bishkek for a working visit.
