Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2024 . / Kabar / . Domestic producers were able to provide the country with 100% of chicken eggs for the year, Chairwoman of "Chiken Egg" cluster Nurgul Malabaeva said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She noted that last year, Kyrgyzstan had an oversupply of eggs, and domestic egg producers held only 53% of the market.
In 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers imposed a temporary moratorium on egg imports and provided soft loans to small producers, which helped them increase their production to 100%.
Malabaeva expressed to the Cabinet as timely support allowed to increase the capacity of domestic producers.
She also noted that the presidential decree "On measures to further develop the agro-industrial complex" provides opportunities to stimulate the production of biological and organic fertilizers.
