Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2018. /Kabar/. A meeting of Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Otkurbek Dzhamshitov with Ambassador of South Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Ha Tae-yeok took place, the press service of the main supervisory authority reported.
The head of the supervisory authority congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his work aimed at further strengthening and developing the legal cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea.
During the conversation, Dzhamshitov informed the Ambassador that the General Prosecutor’s Office had completed all the necessary internal procedures for drafting agreements on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, extradition of criminals and the transfer of convicted persons between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea, and at this stage negotiations are underway with the Korean side on the signing of these agreements.
In turn, the Ambassador told that the Korean side is ready to sign the above interstate agreements at the level of the Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Korea in the city of Seoul in the middle of November 2018.
Following the meeting, the sides noted a positive trend in the development of cooperation in matters of mutual interest, and also expressed their intention to further strengthen it.
