Bishkek, Nov.12, 2024. /Kabar/. Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Asanaliev met with Oliver Stolpe, Regional Representative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan.
The meeting discussed key issues of further cooperation and ways to strengthen law and order in the region, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The sides noted the successful cooperation on a number of implemented projects, as well as the importance of supporting UNODC in promoting new initiatives aimed at combating crime and improving the effectiveness of the rule of law.
The prosecutor general of Kyrgyzstan expressed gratitude for the long-standing partnership and support of UNODC in developing the legal and institutional capacity of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the end of the meeting, an understanding was reached to continue cooperation and strengthen collaboration to achieve common goals of security and the rule of law.
