Kyrgyz rescuers start search work in Kahramanmarash of Turkiye

Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2023 / Kabar/. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan have started search and rescue operations in the city of Kahramanmarash.

Earlier, on behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov, a group of rescuers was sent to Turkey, including paramedics and cynologists.

The devastating earthquake occurred on the night of February 5-6, in the south-east of Turkiye. The national mourning has been declared throughout the country until February 12 inclusive.

According to the latest data, the death toll in Turkiye amounted to 7,108 people and 40,910 people were injured.

The elements also affected the Syrian provinces, where, according to the latest reports from various media, more than 1,250 people died and more than 2,000 were injured as a result of the earthquake.
