Bishkek, July 28, 2022. /Kabar/. Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan’s s Issyk-Kul Oblast hosted on Thursday a meeting between Prosecutors General of Kyrgyzstan Kurmankul Zulushev and Russia Igor Krasnov, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan said.
During the meeting, issues such as strengthening interagency cooperation and collaboration in the fight against cybercrime, transnational organized crime, including the fight against terrorism and religious extremism, corruption, illegal migration and human trafficking, as well as issues of mutual protection of the rights and interests of citizens of both countries, including citizens in labor migration were discussed.
Zulushev expressed deep gratitude to Krasnov for his continued support in protecting the rights and interests of Kyrgyzstanis in Russia, providing legal assistance in criminal cases, combating transnational crime, and advanced training of prosecutors at the educational institutions of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
"Russia and Kyrgyzstan have long-standing, strong, friendly relations. The same can be said about the prosecutor's offices of our countries. Cooperation in a variety of areas is developing dynamically and today's meeting demonstrates the intention to strengthen it further", Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov emphasized.
As a result of the bilateral meeting, a Plan of joint activities of the Prosecutor General's Offices of Kyrgyzstan and Russia for 2022-2023 was signed.
Under the signed Plan, the sides will carry out activities to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation on the above issues during 2022 and 2023.
