Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2021 / Kabar /. The criminal activity of a cross-border drug group was suppressed in Osh city on Jan. 22, the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported.
The security officers detained two citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who have established a stable channel for the transportation and sale of drugs in the countries of Central Asia.
During a search of a car of the detainees under the front passenger seat, a substance with a dark brown color with a specific odor, weighing about 100 grams was found and seized.
Also during an authorized search at the place of residence of one of the detainees and the adjacent territory three briquettes with a dark brown color, with a total weight of more than 500 grams were found in the warehouse and seized.
According to the expert's conclusion, the substances submitted for the study are narcotic drugs - cannabis resin (hashish), the total weight of which was more than 600 grams.
Detainees are placed in the temporary detention facility of the State Committee for National Security in the city of Osh.
At present, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking appropriate measures aimed at identifying other persons involved in this fact.
