Bishkek, April 10 / Kabar /. The military contingent of the servicemen of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan returned from Nepal, where took part in Shanti Prayash -3, the international peacekeeping exercises, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The exercises took place from March 20 to April 3, 2017 in Panchal, Nepal. Military activities were organized by the US Pacific Command jointly with the army of the Republic of Nepal in order to train staff officers and personnel of peacekeeping units to fulfill tasks in UN peacekeeping missions. Peacekeeping contingents from 8 countries - Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, the USA, Mongolia, Nepal and Cambodia - were involved in the event and 27 countries participated as observers.
39 military personnel from Kyrgyzstan together with other participants exercised under the guidance of American, Nepalese and British instructors, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross. For the qualitative holding of all planned events, peacekeeping bases and imitation refugee camps were deployed at the center. Based on the results of the exercises, all participants of the exercise were awarded certificates on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Nepal.
