Bishkek, July 31 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz sportsmen won four gold and two bronze medals at the Central Asian Triathlon Championship, which was held from July 29 to 30 in Astana, the Triathlon Federation reports.
Alexander Trebunsky became the best in the age category of 18-29 years, Julia Fernas took first place in the category of 30-39 years and second place in the absolute category. Andrey Khanadeev was in the lead in the age category of 40-49 years. Also Valery Uvarov won a gold medal.
Aizada Tynalieva and Chynyz Alkanov won silver medals in the age category of 30-39 years.
More than 100 athletes from 10 countries took part in the tournament. 17 sportsmen from Kyrgyzstan took part in the competition.
Triathlon is a sport that is a sporting race consisting of a continuous succession of participants in three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which comes from an independent cyclic sport.
Recently, the triathlon is gaining popularity in Kyrgyzstan, the number of people engaged in it is increasing every year.
