Kyrgyz State Agency for Promotion of Investments and Export and Union of Entrepreneurs of France sign memorandum of cooperation

Bishkek, March 10 / Kabar /. On March 7, 2017 in Paris, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Agency for Promotion of Investments and Export of the Kyrgyz Republic and MEDEF International, the Union of Entrepreneurs of France, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Agency reported.

The agreement on signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency and MEDEF International was reached within the framework of expanding contacts made during the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev to France on March 25, 2015 and deepened by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Benelux and France and during the meetings of the Director of the Agency Alymbek Orozbekov at the Week of Eurasia in November 2016.

The purpose of this Memorandum is to promote the positive image of the country abroad for the subsequent intensification of cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, as well as attracting investments in various sectors of the economy and promoting joint projects.

At the signing ceremony of the Memorandum held at the office of MEDEF International, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Imanaliev, who signed on behalf of the Kyrgyz Agency and Mr. Christophe Fontaine, Chairman of the Business Council France-Central Asia from MEDEF International and member of the Executive Committee of Oberthur Technologies stressed the desire of both organizations to increase their contribution to the development of activities of French companies in Kyrgyzstan by signing this Memorandum.

The signing of this agreement was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and France. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

MEDEF International is an organization independent of the state, is the most significant representative of the French business. It unites more than 800,000 large French enterprises and manages more than 70 bilateral business councils, chaired by the chairmen of international French companies. The main task of the organization is to develop and implement the policy of enterprise development in conditions of free enterprise and market economy, to promote mutually beneficial projects in all sectors between French and foreign companies.
