Bishkek, Apr. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Isa Akhunbayev launched online training on the protocols of measures to combat the epidemic of coronavirus infection, prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
According to the Academy’s press service, the purpose of this training is to prepare doctors of different clinical directions for possible involvement in the fight against this infectious disease.
Those who wish can register on a website of the university: section "For Employees", a heading "Online Training on COVID-19".
The Academy trains doctors for the countries of near and far abroad. Training is conducted in Russian and English languages.
The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA), full name I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, was opened on Sep.1, 1939 in the city of Bishkek (formerly Frunze), with the recruitment of 200 students.
The establishment of the institute was contributed to by the First Moscow Medical Institute, high medical schools of Saint-Petersburg, Almaty, Tashkent and other medical institutions.
As of Apr.6, 147 cases of novel coronavirus were revealed in Kyrgyzstan, 9 of them are medical workes.
Two deaths from COVID-19 registered in the republic.
