Kyrgyz Stock Exchange joins UN Global Initiative on Sustainable Development

Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2021 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) has joined the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative, which brings together global exchanges in pursuit of sustainable development goals, the KSE reported.

SSE's Mission is to provide a global platform to explore how exchanges partner with investors, suppliers, regulated politicians and suppliers to deliver ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) performance and drive sustainable investment.

KSE President Medet Nazaraliev told that the number of investors around the world who have changed their approach towards responsible investment, for whom not only dividends and profit of companies are important, but the company's focus on preserving natural resources, restoring the environment, and social responsibility of the company to employees.

“We are glad to be active initiators of the UN for sustainable development, and we hope that the developed initiatives of the initiative will find active application in Kyrgyzstan,” said the President of the KSE.

SSE Initiative is organized by the UN at the initiative of organizations - Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Global Compact and the UN, supported by the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
