Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. Bishkek pupils are taking part in the 5th Moscow International Olympiad of Metropolises, the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office reported on Thursday.
The Olympiad is taking place on the basis of the Gazprom school.
"8 Kyrgyz students who were selected according to the results of the city and the 2019-2020 Republican Olympiad are participating in a team tournament in 4 disciplines - mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics,” the report says.

A blitz-contest of the competition with 20 questions in English for each subject was held on Dec. 16, 2020.
Blitz-contest is an independent competition, its results aren’t included in the overall record.
The first practical round was held today, Dec. 17, and the second will take place on Dec. 19.
The Olympiad of Metropolises is an international team competition, which is held in Moscow every year at the initiative of the Mayor of the city. Its participants are 14-18 year old students, who live in the biggest metropolises of the world. The first olympiad took place in 2016 and it was attended by 173 students from 22 cities.
