Kyrgyz students win bronze medal at int’l Informatics and Biology Olympiad

Bishkek, July 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . A ceremony of awarding Kyrgyz students who won prizes at international competitions in informatics and biology was held on Monday at the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan.

Education Minister of the republic Bolotbek Kupeshev awarded the students with medals and gifts, the press service of the Ministry of Education said.

The 33rd International Informatics Olympiad in online format was held on June 19-25, 2021 in Singapore. The international competition was attended by 355 students from 88 countries. The Kyrgyz team was represented by four students of the Sapat International Educational Institution.

According to the results of all tasks, Kyrgyz students Daniyar Beishekeyev, Islam Davletov, Artur Aidarov and Tengiz Bekkoyonov won bronze medals.

The International Informatics Olympiad has been held annually for 32 years. Participants in the competition must demonstrate mastery in solving and programming algorithmic problems.

Besides, the Kyrgyz team participated in the International Biology Olympiad, organized by Lisbon, Portugal on July 19-22.

The national team consisted of Baktynur Azhybaev, Elina Ramazanova, Dmitry Dotsenko and Argen Azanov.

According to the results of the Olympics, Baktynur Azhybaev won a bronze medal.
