Bishkek, March 2, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Tengiz Sydykov, born in 1989 suspected of arms smuggling to Russia was released under house arrest in the United States until the end of investigation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
On March 1, the US Embassy was notified from the US side of detention Kyrgyz citizen Tengiz Sydykov by US law enforcement agencies for suspicion of committing a crime connected with international arms smuggling.
Based on results of March 1 hearing, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen against Sydykov.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry says nothing about Eldar Rezvanov. Eldar Rezvanov is a citizen of Kazakhstan and was detained together with Sydykov, but he was remained under arrest the mass media reports.
Earlier, the US edition WJLA published a story that two Kyrgyz citizens, 28-year-old Tengiz Sydykov and 27-year-old Eldar Rezvanov, who lived in Washington State were detained on suspicion of international trade in firearms, smuggling and other offenses.
The indictment says that residents of Alexandria, Virginia, purchased more than one hundred firearms and tried to send it to Chechnya without a license, using fake shipping lists and disguising it as kitchen utensils and car seat covers.
