Kyrgyz, Tajik PMs fully ready to resolve conflict on border

Bishkek, April 29, 2021. / Kabar / . An unscheduled bilateral meeting between Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov and Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda was held in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Government said that the meeting of the prime ministers took place after a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

During the meeting, the heads of governments of the two countries discussed the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

They expressed their full readiness to resolve the conflict situation on the border of the two republics through negotiations as soon as possible.

Maripov and Rasulzoda voiced the need to take urgent measures to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
