Bishkek, Jan.23, 2020. /Kabar/. Topographic working groups of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are holding joint meetings, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service said Thursday.
For this purpose, the Tajik delegation has arrived in Bishkek for a working visit.
Note that in under the Protocol, signed between the two states’ delegation on Jan.15 this year, the topographic working groups of the two countries were instructed by Mar.1, 2020 to work out agreed options for the mutual exchange of equivalent and equal land plots between Batken region of Batken Oblast (Kyrgyzstan) and Isfara city (Tajikistan).
Another conflict occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border on the night of 9-10 Jan.
Residents were throwing stones at each other. The situation is stable today, and authorities are holding talks to resolve the situation.
On Jan.14 Deputy PMs of Kyrgyzstan Jenish Razakov and Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim held meeting, which resulted in signing a relevant Protocol.
The meeting of the two countries' delegations was held as a result of negotiations between the two presidents.
