Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2025. / Kabar /. A team of Kyrgyz climbers today climbed the highest peak of Africa, Kilimanjaro, head of the expedition, Ilim Karypbekov wrote on social networks.
"Today, the Kyrgyz flag is once again waving on Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of the African continent. All six members of the expedition have safely reached the top and are currently successfully descending. Do not worry about your loved ones and move on to congratulations," he wrote.
The expedition was attended by men of different ages, the eldest of whom is over 70 years old. Most of them have never climbed a mountain peak.
