Kyrgyz team on traditional wushu wins 5 gold medals in Moscow Stars -2017

Bishkek, Feb. 24 / Kabar /. The national team of Kyrgyzstan on traditional wushu returned with gold medals from the International Wushu Tournament "Moscow Stars - 2017", which took place on 17-22 February in Russia, Moscow, the State Agency of Physical Culture and Sports reports.

Five athletes of Kyrgyzstan led by Natalia Neshcheret, vice-president of the Federation of the traditional martial arts of the Kyrgyz Republic, performing in nine kinds of the tournament program, won 5 gold and 1 silver medal. The team included Wushu fighters of the National Center for Children and Youth "Seytek".

The tournament was attended by 800 athletes from 20 countries, such as Russia, China, France, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Georgia, Latvia and others.

This international tournament was an important step in the preparation of Kyrgyz Wushu fighters for the upcoming major Wushu Championships - 9th Championship Asian Wushu Championships (July, Korea), the 14th FIFA World Wushu (September, Russia) and the 7th Championship world traditional Wushu (November, China), the report said.
