Kyrgyz track and field athlete Nursultan Keneshbekov becomes two-time Asian champion

Bishkek, Feb. 20, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz track and field athlete Nursultan Keneshbekov won the second gold medal of the Asian Indoor Championships, the Athletics Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Asian Championship took place in Tehran. Kyrgyzstan was represented by Ainuska Kalil kyzy (1500 and 3000 m), Maria Korobitskaya (3000 m), Nursultan Keneshbekov (1500 and 3000 m), Maysal Makumbek uulu (800 m) and Samat Kazakbaev (1500 m and 3000). The athletes performed under the guidance of coach Tatyana Borisova.

Nursultan Keneshbekov took first place in both distances with results of 8:08.85 - 3000 meters and 3:49.10 - 1500 meters.

Ainuska Kalil kyzy won silver (1500 m) and bronze (3000 m) at the Asian Championship.
