Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek to be opened by leaders of two countries

Bishkek, July 2, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek hosted on Friday a meeting between Kyrgyzstan’s Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev and Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Sadik Dogan and representatives of the Turkish Health Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the introduction of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital and its joint management, training and recruitment of personnel to work in the new hospital, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry reported.

Ambassador Ahmet Sadik Dogan noted the hospital will soon begin its work, but the official opening ceremony will be held later with the participation of two presidents.

Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev expressed gratitude to the Turkish government, head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Turkish Ministry of Health for the construction of a modern hospital with all the necessary medical products.

During the meeting, it was decided to establish a joint bilateral working group to further work on the commissioning of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital.

On Feb. 11, 2021 the Parliament of Turkey approved a draft law of the Republic of Turkey on the ratification of an Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on the opening, joint management and transfer of Bishkek state hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship and access to education for Kyrgyzstanis in Turkey in the field of medicine and medical specialties.

On Feb. 20, 2021 the law was signed by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
