Kyrgyz, Turkmen FMs discuss upcoming meeting of Central Asian presidents

Bishkek, July 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev had on Friday a telephone conversation with Rashid Meredov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

The two ministers discussed issues of organization and holding of the upcoming regular Consultative Meeting of Heads of States of Central Asia, to be held in Turkmenistan on Aug. 5-6, 2021.

Kazakbaev and Meredov debated the content of the upcoming event, paying special attention to the draft multilateral documents that are planned to be adopted during the meeting.

The sides expressed confidence that the upcoming meeting of Central Asian leaders will be held at a high organizational level and will give impetus to further strengthening and expansion of regional cooperation.

Also, the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan exchanged views on organization of a number of important events planned within the Consultative Meeting of Heads of States of Central Asia.
