Bishkek, Dec.24, 2019. /Kabar/. Universities and secondary special education institutions in Kyrgyzstan are being transferred to the Unified Window automatic system, Head of the Vocational Education Department Gulmira Abylkasymova told at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She added the Unified Window is part of the implementation of the Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023 Concept of Digital Transformation and the Decree of President of Kyrgyzstan on Declaring 2019 the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country.
“The measure is expected to avoid corruption risks and reduce bureaucracy in obtaining various certificates, a bypass sheet for obtaining a diploma, etc. A student will no longer have to bypass all services - accounting, student departments, human resources, dean's office, library, archive, dormitory, passport office and other relevant structures. The students will be able to obtain a certificate, diploma and so on in one place," Abylkasymova said.
According to her, the first university to implement the Unified Window in 2017 was Osh State University.
“After the order of the Ministry of Education, it was introduced at the National University, the Medical Academy, Bishkek Humanities University, and the Agrarian University. At present, private educational institutions are also being transferred to the system,” the official said.
There are 65 higher education institutions in the country, 33 of which are private and 32 public. There are 169,000 students studying there. There are also 148 colleges, 114 of which are public and 34 are private. There are 91,000 students studying there.
