A business forum with the participation of Kyrgyz and Uzbek entrepreneurs was held in the cultural center of the Turakurgan region of Namangan Oblast of Uzbekistan on March 31, the head of the press service of the Namangan regional administration Bakhtiyar Akhunbabaev told Kabar.
He said that members of the delegation of Jalal-Abad Oblast of Kyrgyzstan headed by governor Absatar Syrgabaev and representatives of the business circle of Namangan Oblast took part in it.
Khokim of Namangan Oblast Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov emphasized the need to hold such forums more often to establish interaction between entrepreneurs of the two oblasts and invited guests to the traditional 60th Flower Festival, which will be held in May this year. “Such events will bring the two neighboring countries closer together,” he said.
In turn, the head of the Jalalabad Oblast delegation, Absatar Syrgabaev, speaking at the forum, said that he would also support the development of cooperation between the oblasts in various fields.
The participants of the events discussed and identified priority areas for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two areas. Within the framework of the business forum, a meeting was held between Kyrgyz and Uzbek entrepreneurs and businessmen in the B2B format, as well as an exhibition of industrial goods, agricultural products and examples of arts and crafts.
The forum also hosted a presentation on the conditions, plans and opportunities for the development of entrepreneurship and tourism in the region.
As a result of the events, an agreement was reached between entrepreneurs and businessmen of the two fraternal oblasts on further close cooperation in various spheres of the economy and trade.
