Kyrgyz-Uzbek car assembly enterprise to start operating from July

Bishkek, March 14, 2023. /Kabar/. The registration of the assembly of the first car at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek enterprise near Bishkek is scheduled for July 10 this year, Ainura Usenbekova, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, told at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on the Fuel and Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy.

According to her, the domestic companies Nur and DT Technik signed an additional agreement with UzAvtoSanoat during a recent working visit of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov to Uzbekistan. The document clarified:

- production facilities;

- stages and terms of production of cars and commercial vehicles;

- their technical parameters and names.

“The project will be implemented in three stages. During the first three years, 10,000 cars and commercial vehicles will be produced. 500 people will be involved in the production process. Localization of production will be 5-10%.

The second stage will include organizing the production of auto components and increasing the capacity to 20,000 cars and commercial vehicles. Localization will be 15-20%, and the number of jobs will be 1000. Subsequently, the volume of production will increase to 30 thousand cars and commercial vehicles, and the number of employees at the enterprise will be 2000 people,” Usenbekova said.
