Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in the sphere of religious relations discussed in Tashkent

Tashkent, June 29 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov met on Wednesday with chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Artukbek Yusupov, the This was reported today to the correspondent of the Kabar news agency in the information service of the Uzbek Committee for Religious Affairs.

Sydykov and Yusupov discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and expansion of cooperation between the Committees for Religious Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was drawn to establishing direct contacts between religious figures and Islamic educational institutions of the two countries, the exchange of experience in the training of young specialists in this field.

The sides expressed confidence that these measures are an important factor in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two states, ensuring security, interethnic harmony and religious tolerance in the region.

Yusupov invited the Kyrgyz side to the annual conference dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance in Tashkent. The ambassador expressed readiness for the participation of representatives of Kyrgyzstan in the ongoing international events in Uzbekistan.

The meeting was held in a sincere and friendly atmosphere, the report said.
