Bishkek, April 8, 2024 / Kabar/. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev, during a visit to the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers”, discussed with Rector of the university Bakhodir Mirzaev the prospects for the development of large-scale cooperation between the universities of the two countries, the press service of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Tashkent reported.
During the meeting, issues on the exchange of students, doctoral students, professors and teachers, the organization of international and scientific-practical conferences, as well as the allocation of quotas for applicants from the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed.
The ambassador also got acquainted with the educational process and laboratories of the university.
Musa Dzhamanbaev invited the rector of the university to visit the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Konstantin Scriabin.
The Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) was founded in 1923, and in December 2021 it was transformed into the National Research University of the same name.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is a graduate of this university, where he worked from teacher to vice rector.
