Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Artel Electronics Kyrgyz-Uzbek joint venture in Andijan village of Kara-Suu region of Osh Oblast is expanding production and plans to start exporting. The agreement on its opening was reached during the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Uzbekistan in December 2017.
Today, Sept. 10, as part of his working visit to Osh Oblast President Jeenbekov visited and familiarized with the activities of this enterprise, his press service reported.
The enterprise has been operating since 2018 and is engaged in the production of household appliances, in particular, the assembly of washing machines.
To date, 105 people have been employed, it is planned to bring the number of jobs to 200.
The company produces about 900 washing machines per month, and the monthly sales volume is KGS 3 million. The manufactured products are sold in the domestic market, but in the future they are planned to be exported.
President Jeenbekov noted Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding trade and economic relations with the nearest neighboring countries, including Uzbekistan.
Joint industrials enterprises have a huge export potential as Kyrgyzstan has access to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, where it can supply products without customs barriers and duties.
During the conversation with the labor collective, the Kyrgyz leader told about the main directions of the policy on regional development, within which the key attention is paid to the enterprises with export potential.
