Bishkek, June 2, 2020. /Kabar/. Law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan jointly patrol the border areas in Chechme village of Kadamjai region of Batken Oblast, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Border Service reported.
Units of Kyrgyzstan's Border Service continue to serve in a reinforced mode.
"Kyrgyzstan's border representatives in the Aidarken direction and Uzbekistan's border representatives in the Sokh direction, together with the countries' law enforcement agencies are taking measures to prevent violations at the state border, as well as to prevent border conflicts and their escalation," the report said.
The situation in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is under control of the two states' law enforcement agencies and is characterized as stable.
According to the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, on May 31, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. in Kadamjai region’s Chechme village, a conflict occurred between residents of the village of Chashma of Uzbekistan. Residents threw stones at each other.
The conflict arose over a spring, when residents of two villages cleared the spring together. As a result, there was a verbal skirmish, the villagers began throwing stones at each other.
