Kyrgyz, Uzbek leaders hold phone conversation

Bishkek, May 13, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov talked over phone with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The leaders of the two countries exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of Orozo Ait holiday, wishing each other good health, success in state activities, and to the people of the two countries - well-being and development, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.

Among other issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, the sides discussed the recent events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed his gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev for personal attention to this situation and the support provided to the people of Kyrgyzstan at this time.

During the conversation, the heads of states also debated issues of legal registration of the remaining sections on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, the prospects for cooperation in the water and energy sectors and investment.
