Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2021 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov, as part of his working trip to Almaty to participate in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, met with the head of the government of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz government reported that the prime ministers discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, agricultural, cultural, humanitarian, water and energy and transport spheres.
“The Kyrgyz Republic values the established truly fraternal relations based on mutual trust. We are ready to further actively develop strategic partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan,” Maripov said.
Abdulla Aripov congratulated his colleague on his appointment as prime minister of Kyrgyzstan and noted that Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations are at the highest level of trust.
“I can say with confidence that the Uzbek side, headed by the president of Uzbekistan, supports the Kyrgyz people in any endeavors and is ready to provide all possible assistance in all projects that meet the interests of the two countries and peoples,” he said.
The sides confirmed their readiness to implement joint projects, and noted the need to intensify and strengthen work to complete the legal registration of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. The Uzbek side also announced its readiness to organize the supply of mineral fertilizers to the Kyrgyz Republic in the required amount.
At the end of the meeting, Abdulla Aripov conveyed an invitation to the president of Kyrgyzstan to pay a visit to Uzbekistan.
