Bishkek, April 5 / Kabar /. A seminar was held today in Bishkek with the participation of members of the Council of Veterans of the Batken events. The participants of the seminar discussed various aspects of the role of veterans in preventing and countering violent extremism and international terrorism, the press service of Yiman Foundation reports.
The event was initiated by the veterans themselves.
"We have received enough information to understand many aspects of modern different currents that use the religion in their destructive purposes." I participated in such a seminar for the first time and I wanted a number of other seminars to be held, since the topic is now relevant and the knowledge gained will be of great help in our work," Kyrgyzbai Kenzhebaev, the participant from Leilek region said in his speech.
The similar training seminars also took place in Jalal-Abad and Osh cities, and in the future they are planned in other regions. During the seminar, the film "This is not my war", prepared by the Yiman Foundation, was shown with the goal of preventing the recruitment of Kyrgyz citizens to extremist and terrorist groups.
