Bishkek, Apr. 20, 2020 / Kabar /. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aida Ismailova met with members of the delegation of the medical expert group of the People’s Republic of China, the press service of the Government reported.
“Since independence, close and friendly countries and international partners have continued to provide support and assistance to our country. One such country is China. In this regard, I express my deep appreciation for the assistance provided in difficult times for our country. China was the first in the world to face a coronavirus infection and survived a difficult time. At the same time, we are seeing positive results from the struggle of Chinese doctors with coronavirus infection. We are pleased that the People’s Republic of China has managed to achieve a sharp reduction in both the number of infected and fatal cases,” said Ismailova.
The vice prime minister briefed about the epidemiological situation in the country, where the total number of people infected with coronavirus infection is 568 and 7 people died.
She said that the Ministry of Health has prepared a program that includes visits by Chinese specialists to hospitals, clinics and laboratories with the necessary training for employees.
Ismailova emphasized that in the framework of the visit of the medical expert group, it is planned to conduct distance learning for health workers in Kyrgyzstan.
“It is important for us to adopt the experience of our Chinese colleagues, both in the diagnosis and treatment of the virus, and in organizing the work of laboratories, the rules for the interaction of doctors with infected patients, the organization of observation and quarantine zones, and the use of personal protective equipment,” she said.
The Chinese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, Du Dewen, noted that a very meaningful telephone conversation between the heads of the two states took place last week.
“In such a difficult period, we must support each other and work closely in the fight against coronavirus infection. The arrival of a medical expert group is just the realization of an agreement between our leaders. I hope that the medical experts who arrived in the country, together with Kyrgyz colleagues, will achieve better results in the fight against coronavirus,” said the Chinese diplomat.
Ismailova, on behalf of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed gratitude to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for the decision to send medical specialists with experience in combating coronavirus infection and the provision of humanitarian advice.
Together with an expert group, a humanitarian aid arrived in the country, consisting of 10 thousand respirators No. 95, as well as 2 thousand pieces of protective suits, 2 mechanical ventilation apparatus, medicines.
