Kyrgyz Vice PM Madumarov: In general, elections were held openly

Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2020 / Kabar /. All 2,430 polling stations completed work at 20:00 local time, Vice Prime Minister Akram Madumarov told on the air of National Channel.

He said that polling stations abroad closed on time, and in some countries, due to the difference in time zone, voting continues.

“In general, the elections were held openly, we are satisfied. I would like to note that on the ground there were problems with equipment and minor shortcomings both on the part of the voters and on our part. At the moment, the Central Election Commission has received 79 complaints about violations during the elections, 15 of them are being investigated,” he said.

In addition, the vice prime minister noted that elections in this format are being held for the first time in the country and thanked fellow citizens for their understanding.
