Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister Cholpon Sultanbekova asked the Turkish side to consider the issue of increasing the annual quota for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in medical clinics of Turkey. She told this during a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkey in the Kyrgyz Republic Jengiz Kamil Firat.
She also raised the issue of training professional development of Kyrgyz doctors at Turkish health organizations.
The Turkish Ambassador stressed that all proposals put on agenda will be considered according to established procedures by Turkish relevant state authorities.
In addition, the Turkish diplomat informed the Vice-Premier about the construction of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek and the ongoing work on equipping it with modern medical equipment. He stressed that the construction of the medical institution is almost completed and currently experts of two countries will be working on a draft agreement on further operation of the hospital.
The Turkish side expressed its readiness to provide further technical and financial support for the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital.
Sultanbekova expressed gratitude to Turkish side for their successful implementation of the project on construction and equipping of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital. She also stressed fruitful cooperation of the Government of Kyrgyzstan with the Turkish Government and the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation.
"Thanks to cooperation with Turkish side, a large number of projects for construction of various social facilities have been successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan," Sultanbekova said.
Within the framework of agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on health cooperation, 100 quotas are allocated annually for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkish clinics.
