Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz voters started to cast ballots to elect a new president and to determine the form of government.
Early presidential elections and a referendum on the form of government have started in Kyrgyzstan today at 08:00 a.m. by opening 2,474 polling stations throughout the republic.
According to data of the Central Election Commission, 3 million 563 thousand 574 voters will be able to cast ballots in the presidential elections and in the referendum.
Acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov fulfilled his civic duty, he voted at polling station No. 1102, and Deputy Prime Minister Elvira Surabaldieva at polling station No. 1209
17 candidates are running for the presidency.
Voters are given two ballots - one for the presidential elections, which will be white, the second for the referendum, which is blue.
