Bishkek, April 21, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstani wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov improved his positions in the world rankings, rising from the firth to the third place, the United Wrestling World reported.
Sanan Suleimanov of Azerbaijan holds the top spot, followed by Iran's Abdolhamid Mohammadali.
Akzhol Makhmudov earned gold at the Asian Greco-Roman wrestling championships, which is taking place in Mongolia’s Ulaanbaatar on April 19-24.
Thus, the Kyrgyz wrestler became a two-time champion of Asia. He won his first title in 2018 at the Asian Championships in Bishkek. He is also the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
