Bishkek, June 20, 2024. /Kabar/. A member of the Kyrgyz national Greco-Roman wrestling team, Akzhol Makhmudov, won a gold medal at the international wrestling tournament in Poland.
The Ziolkowski, Pytlasinski, Poland Open tournament started on June 19 in Warsaw.
Makhmudov (77 kg) won three early victories over athletes from Ukraine, Algeria and Colombia, reaching the finals.
In the fight for 1st place and the gold medal, Makhmudov’s opponent was an athlete from Poland; he defeated him ahead of schedule with a score of 8:0.
